Turkey Steaks with Portobello Mushroom Sauce

Sam has been busy in the kitchen again, and sharing her recipes. This one makes a fantastic quick evening meal, and could be accompanied by a huge salad, or portion of vegetables, and a few new or baby potatoes.

The use of the seasoned coconut flour gives a new flavour dimension to this dish, making a change from plain old grilled or fried turkey.

At 196 calories for the turkey and sauce, there is still plenty of room for some extras with this dish.

Turkey Steaks with Portobello Mushroom Sauce

Description

A super quick, super tasty meal


Ingredients

Scale

4 thin cut turkey steaks

1 tbsp coconut flour

Couple of pinches of bouillon powder to season

Sprinkle of dried sage

Spray oil

Portobello mushroom

1 tsp mustard

100ml low fat creme fraiche


Instructions

  1. Take the turkey steaks and coat them with coconut flour, that has been seasoned with the bouillon powder and sage, and pan fry them in a few sprays of oil, over a medium heat.
  2. Take the portobello mushroom and slice it. In a pan add the chopped mushroom, then a teaspoon of mustard and 100ml of low fat creme fraiche. Mix together until the ingredients are combined and the mushroom is cooked.
  3. Serve with veg and salad, and rice or new potatoes (just add your calories)
