Breakfast Smoothie

Another great on-the-go breakfast for those who don’t like to eat a proper breakfast early, or if you need to grab and go.

Deliciously sweet soft fruit, combine with banana to give this a beautiful summery flavour, while the oats, give you the protein and carbohydrate fix to keep you firing on all cylinders.

Quick and easy breakfast on the go!

1 banana

1 tbsp porridge oats

80g soft fruit (whatever you have – strawberries, blueberries, and mango all work well – frozen fruit will work just as well as fresh)

150ml milk

1 tsp honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and whizz for 1 min until smooth.
  2. Pour the banana oat smoothie into two glasses to serve.

Rachael guessing you can make this without the banana as I really don’t like them please advise what the calories will be thanks

I would knock 50 off, a banana is about 100, and its split between two of you. So approx 106 calories without the banana x

Love the sound of this I used to have smoothies but just got out of the habit of having them…I’m on it – thanks Rach! Xx

Ooo this sounds lush need more inspiration for my breakies as usually on the run and don’t like eating first thing x this sounds perfect x
