September’s walk takes place on Sunday September 8th 2019 and takes us up to the top of Darwen Moor and the rocket shaped monument which is Darwen Tower, from the village of Tockholes.
Taking in the valley of Roddlesworth, a wishing well, and of course Darwen Tower. For the extra brave you can even climb the extra 86 feet up to the top of the tower.
The walk is just short of 5 miles, so will take about 2 and a half hours, and you will need good sturdy walking shoes, as the terrain varies from woodland to moorland and could be slippy in parts, especially if it has rained.
All are welcome, including family and friends. Well behaved dogs also welcome.
