It’s really important to move more in your new Be Strong journey. Rachel and Rick had both lost some weight previously and always regained it. However, they had never previously lost weight and included exercise in their plan. This time around both have become extremely physically fit and have successfully kept the weight off – see the link?

Do not however think that you can exercise your way out of a bad diet with poor eating habits, it will not happen. You need to achieve a balance.

Many people who start to include exercise in their new lifestyle make the fatal mistake that they can eat what they want. Some burn 200 calories during exercise (bowl of porridge and a banana) and go out and eat fish and chips (1,000 calories) as a reward!

Exercising as a Role Model

It’s as important for your family and friends that you get, and stay, in shape! Yes, it really is!

How you behave and act will have an impact on your nearest and dearest – it’s your best chance yet to ensure they have the best opportunity to live a happy and healthy life.

People usually gravitate to what they see as normal behaviour. If you exercise and eat healthily occasionally, then your family are likely to. If you do it most of the time, then the power of repeated suggestion will almost always ensure that behaviour is imitated.

Please don’t make poor health and lifestyle choices, it’s not just you that you may be harming.
