Your online membership is on a 'Name Your Price' basis - can you explain?

Yes, we don’t want cost to be a barrier to people accessing Be Strong. So, for our online plans we let you pay us what you can afford, within reason, and you can cancel at any time you choose to. No questions asked – we’re just glad to work with you.

* Rick works tirelessly to help people become active. He delivers completely free Couch to 5k running sessions 3 times per week, all year round, to help inactive people to learn to run for 5km. Over 6,000 people have benefited and its the largest in the world. There is no subsidy – its sustained by a unique model that Rick developed. Be Strong is different, it cannot be delivered for free, but it can be delivered to an extremely high standard at a very low price. Be Strong is about people, not money.

How does Be Strong work?
We encourage you to think about how you eat, move and live. You are provided with a fully personalised starter programme, which provides you with all the information you need to begin your Be Strong lifestyle.

How long will I have to wait before receiving my starter programme?
When you sign into your new account with us, there are some basic questions to answer. Once you’ve completed these, your plan will be sent to you within hours.

We use a combination of complex calculations to create the nutritional advice we provide to you, which is presented to you in a 3 week starter programme that’s simplified and is easy to understand.

Is it all about weight loss?
Not at all, although the vast majority of our members initially joined to lose weight. We encourage our members to be more confident, knowledgeable and to make better choices in all areas of their lives.

Will I not just put the weight back on like I've always done in the past?
We hope not. Be Strong gives you all the information you need to adjust your lifestyle and break the cycle of any bad eating habits you may have. Its a learning experience, best of all we keep it really simple all of the time.

How long will it take to lose weight?
We recommend a safe and healthy weight loss of 1 to 2lbs per week – that’s 7 1/2 stones per year! If you have a lot to lose and need to lose the weight faster, and safely, we can advise on that too.

How is Be Strong different?
We’re not in this for commercial reasons, we genuinely want to help people. We’re very honest, empathetic, supportive and totally dedicated to helping you. Rachel and Rick have both walked in your shoes and, in Rick’s case, at the very top end of the scale – no pun intended! They both know how difficult this is, but they also both have the key to your success – you just need to work with them to unlock it.

Do I have to exercise or move more?
No – but we would love you to try!  If our online exercises are not for you then our nutritional advice, weight tracker tools, menus, recipes and programmes are more than enough to help you achieve success. We have a really simple get moving programme and also some seated and standing exercises to help ease you in.
