Sunday 1st July 2018 – Be Strong Members Only
Scafell – the highest mountain in England. 978m above sea level.
This is a blind challenge, originally set for Lesley-Anne Brothers, and we have opened the invitation to any other members who want to join us from Be Strong to complete the triple challenge.
Very sturdy, supportive and waterproof footwear must be worn. And full waterproofs and warm clothing must be carried. This is a steep climb with a beck crossing and then a rocky climb towards the summit.
We will be reaching the summit 978m above sea level and if the weather is clear it will be an absolutely stunning view and well worth the climb. The route is about 7-8 miles, and will take most of the day, so please bring plenty of food and drink to keep you going. All participants must carry their own pack.
Meeting at 10am at the national trust car park at wasdale head. More info at this link: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wasdale/features/enjoying-englands-highest-mountain—scafell-pike-in-wasdale
